Description property

Prestigious property in the renowned residential centre of Alpino, municipality of Gignese, a locality situated on the slopes of Mount Mottarone a short distance from Stresa, with a grandiose panorama sweeping from the Borromeo Gulf to the Lepontine Alps mountain range. Property consisting of a Dependance of an major Villa.

Located halfway between the renowned lakeside resorts of Stresa and the summit of Mount Mottarone (both about 20 minutes' drive away), for several years - from the end of the 19th century and during the first half of the 20th century - the Alpino, situated at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level, was a privileged holiday and tourist destination for the aristocracy, the bourgeoisie, painters and musicians. Mottarone and, inevitably, the Alpine region received an important tourist-residential boost at the height of the Belle Époque, between the second half of the 19th century and the early years of the 20th century, when a number of villas began to be built, numerous representatives of the Lombardy-Piedmontese bourgeoisie and aristocracy decided to build a number of villas at the Alpino - and in the surrounding areas - to stay there, especially between June and October, but also during the winter to attend the Mottarone ski fields. In addition to ski sports and unspoilt nature, the Apino also offered a golf camp from the beginning of the 1920s.

The property consists of the annexe of a main residence.

The Dependance, measuring approximately 115 m2, is built with external stone walls and wooden inserts, elements that, together with the terracotta tiles, also characterise the interior.

The building is arranged on two floors plus a characteristic turret on the third floor and is composed as follows:
Ground floor - entrance hall, kitchen, dining area, living room with fireplace, study, storage room and bathroom:
First floor - two bedrooms and bathroom.
Second floor: attic (turret)
Heating with electric convectors

The building is located in a very quiet residential area, surrounded by 1,000 m2 of fully fenced parkland with sloping lawns and tall trees. A separate car access with good accessibility to the property and large spaces suitable for parking area.
