Cannobina-valley, idyllic group of five refuges, some of them completely renovated and some in renovation phase or to be renovated. The whole inmidst of pastures and century old chestnut woods. Car access.
Interesting mountain refuge consisting of two completely renovated buildings. Close by there is a small house on two floors to be renovated and a few hundred metres away, hidden in the woods, another completely renovated refuge with living zone, above lying night zone and and cellar/storage room and another building to be used as hay loft/shed, eventually recuperable as living space. The whole with adequate storage spaces and outside areas on several terraces to be used in comune, fountain, pergola with stone table, bread baking oven, car parking spaces, terracces with vegetable garden, fruit trees. The already renovated houses have new stone roofs, living and sleeping spaces and bath with warm and cold water.
The refuge lies in an absolutely quiet position inmidest the uncontaminated nature of the Cannobina valley, sunny with southern exposition above the hamlet of Gurrone, circa 30 car minutes from Cannobio and the Lake Maggiore and 30 car minutes from the pittoresque Vigezzo valley.
The hamlet of Gurrone is easily reached on foot in circa 15/20 minutes or on the carriageable road (partly private and partly in comune) in 5 minutes.
The refuge has water and electricity in all the buildings already renovated and the possibility of connection in the ones to be renovated.
All masonry work has been executed in a craftsmanlike manner with particular attention to details and the recovery of the original materials of the valley.
